5 Inch and Up

Sandra Hagelstam of the internationally renowned style blog 5 Inch and Up is one of the coolest ladies in the blogg-o-sphere. Effortless, gorgeous and always full of surprises there’s no wonder she runs one of the world’s most popular fashion blogs.

It’s easy to hate her — pin thin bod, perfectly tousled blonde tresses, a seemingly endless collection of grade-A heels (5 inch and up, get it?) and a knack for eye catching combinations, girl has got it all! — but impossible not to love her. Beauty and brains wrapped up into one fashionable little package, her blog posts exemplify how sweet and intelligent she is. Originally from Helsinki, Finland, she now resides in London and is in her final year at the London College of Fashion where she’s finishing up a design degree. Her blog has opened up some amazing opportunities for her — she is in collaboration with Nelly.com to design a signature collection next Spring and was asked by Urban Outfitters to present their exclusive collaboration with Finsk shoes (only available to Europe online).

The versatility of her looks is inspiring for any fashion lover. She loves to experiment with contrast and expertly interprets both street trends and runways styles in her day to day looks. Her eye for statement pieces is so on point and her ability to mix and match bold color and texture without looking like a crazy person is way impressive. And her signature long way blonde mane tops off each outfit making it uniquely hers.

We at Miista are lucky enough to be friends with Sandra and she recently stopped by our studio in Hackney. What was supposed to be an hour long meeting turned into a three hour session of chatting, catching up and of course shoes. Putting a self-proclaimed heel enthusiast in our workshop is like letting a child loose in a candy store, and needless to say we had a fabulous time! Check out some of the photos she snapped below.
