Dear Fieldbinder

Brooklyn, we’ve arrived!

One of Brooklyn’s coolest stores Dear Fieldbinder has just released a Spring lookbook and it’s positively crawling with new Miista styles! You’ll also find some gems from Aiko, Something Else and J Brand — all of which will be available this season from your friends at DF. The feature image with the tribal multi colored skirt and white button down shows off one of our absolute favorite styles (Laura & Chloe wore them almost every day of the latest tradeshow in NYC) called ONDRIA. All over laser cut pattern on an oxford style with a mid heel? Perfection. Anyway, we love the way they shot this lookbook — it’s definitely got some Celine vibes and they’ve managed to incorporate depth and vitality into this studio based shoot. It’s no easy feat to make white walls interested, but DF made it all come together. No surprise though, seeing as the owner and master mind behind it all Lara Fieldbinder both attended art school and worked at the Guggenheim before entering the world of retail. This mix of art and fashion drives the boutique and she’s lauded for always being one step ahead.

“Always ahead of the pack, Lara Fieldbinder knows what hip ladies want to wear even before they do. She stocks her Smith Street boutique, Dear Fieldbinder, with an eclectic mix of established designers and daring up-and-comers, as well as cute pieces from her own DF label. And, unlike many other boutiques that carry mostly high-end labels, Dear Fieldbinder has plenty of affordable brands making shopping a relatively guilt-free experience. In other words, prepare to step into your dream closet.” – Best Indie Boutique for Women – 2011, Village Voice

The store is located at 198 Smith Street between Baltic and Warren in the comfy cozy BK ‘hood of Cobble Hill. DF has had its doors open for over a decade now and was one of the first shops to set foot in the area. If you want some real Brooklyn retail history and killer style to boot you’ll want to make your way over!
