It’s finally here! Our Spring//Summer 2012 lookbook has arrived and it’s lightyears beyond what we could have ever expected! Thanks to the lovely Saga Sig we now have this multi-colored masterpiece to share with you.

Shot in a kitschy little home in the photographer Saga’s homeland of Iceland, our newest lookbook features papier mache skulls, Southwest vibes, futuristic makeup, pattern mixing like you wouldn’t believe and every color of the rainbow! This is the third lookbook that we have worked on with Saga and she somehow manages to defy our expectations each and every time. And knowing that she is equally as excited about this piece is just the icing on the cake. Isak Freyr returned as well to do the makeup, we worked with him previously on our AW11 lookbook and he took our concept and ran! His work on this project is a showstopper to say the least and he not only gave us a serious hardcore red//black eye and some dope tribal style face painting but also did some gorgeous meticulous crystal work that ended up photographing amazingly well.

We also had some new comers this time around, including styling by the incredible Hrafnhildur Hólmgeirsdóttir, aka Raven, who frequently works with Icelandic superstar Bjork. We could not have been more thrilled to work with her and you can see in the photos below that she certainly worked her magic on set! Her expert ability to combine the unexpected fits perfectly with our love for uncommon juxtaposition and we feel so honored to have had her contribute to Miista. The model this time around was Andrea Röfn, an Iceland native who works with the talent agency Eskimo. Her strong features and killer legs made the shoot really come together. She is such a versatile face too — it is almost difficult to accept that it is the same person in all of the photos!

We would like to give a special thanks to Elli Egilsson for taking backstage photography and live tweeting the shoot and Bára Hólmgeirsdóttir for assisting Raven with the styling, as well as Kex, Spúútnik, Nostalgia, Harpa, Flora and everyone else who helped make the magically colorful set! All of you were so fantastic, we cannot thank you enough!

So here it is…are you ready? And be sure to check out our previous post including mood boards and inspiration shots here!
