Miista will let you into one of our fashion secrets. :)

This one is about a little website that has made big impression on the fashion desk. It is of course Pixie Market. Cute and affordable designs are stocked at the New York Pixie Market store, between Ludlow and Orchard Sts.

Pixie Market in no small measure helped start Miista by backing us in our quest to get funding.

Pixie Market is the kind of store that functions as a crack house for the die-hard fashionista. Friends Gaele Drevet and Magda Pietrobelli designed this unique shop, inspired by London’s Portobello or Spitalfields markets, an incredible showcase for the unique travel finds.

They stock a range of cool, hard-to-find labels including One Teaspoon, Paul and Alice, Farahbella, Back by Ann-Sofie, Something Else by Natalie Wood or Miista. They have an impressive roster of emerging international designers.

The selection is truly International: from Denmark, Italy, UK, Sweden, Finland, Israel, Germany, Singapore, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Seoul, NYC, LA, Brazil and more.

They have a particular thing for small designers and labels from around the world. As Magda said: ´there is something quite special and exclusive about working with small designers; they march to their own creative beat without all the commercial constraints of bigger brands.

Their fashion buy is very item driven and very well edited, whether it’s girly or edgy. Gaele and Magda travel abroad to many fashion fairs; and scout endlessly for interesting new designers/labels and luckily they also receive a lot of tip offs from their existing designers.

If you are into having pieces that no one else has and affordable prices Pixie Market is your store. Their website gives you a lot to choose from.

If you are traveling to New York don’t miss this address:
