Off The Wall With Anna Lomax
Who doesn’t love the big, the bright, the beautiful and the outrageous? Well, this is exactly what you get with the work of the incredibly cool Anna Lomax. Describing herself as a ‘maker and collector’, her off-the-wall art and set designs will without question brighten up your day. It’s certainly both tacky and trashy, but alongside the element of nostalgia which her work brings - what’s not to love? Therefore, it is no surprise as to why she has collaborated with a row of well-known clients both commercial (Kenzo, Selfridges, Converse) and editorial (Vogue, the Independent, Elle Collections). Having graduated in 2007 from Brighton University with a degree in illustration, she is now based in the heart of Dalston - often gaining inspiration from the atmosphere and the items she finds from the number of pound and junk shops in the area. With a heavy focus on popular culture, her work ranges from small scale still life to vast illustrations in a range of mediums. Take a look at some of her work shown below.
