Calf leather Embossed Patent Leather Florentique Leather Metallic Leather Nubuck Suede
Nourish her Skin
Soft and supple, this leather cares for your feet. It is able to mould to the shape of your foot and create a shoe which fits you like a glove. In return, care for her skin by applying creams regularly to allow the leather to stretch but remain strong.
All skin is beautifully unique and different, it’s part of our personality, heritage and history. Miistas embossed leather is no exception, it will change and age with time just like us, but just like us it is going to need some gentle care. Leather creams are highly recommended as they will nourish the leather and allow her to age gracefully without disrupting her charm.
Don’t let rain, mud and dirt dull your shine. Keep your patent leathers gleaming by removing dirt from the surface regularly with a soft damp cloth. To restore her shine apply patent leather polish and when dry, rub the shoe with a soft dry cloth until she’s shining as bright as your highlighter. Remember to follow the instructions and let the patent polish completely dry in a sale place.
Tough on the outside but soft on the inside, the florentique leather does not look like it needs your care but it will benefit from a little TLC every now and then. The leather is strong but like any strong woman, will always appreciate a good skin moisturiser. Moisturise your shoes regularly with a leather cream and if scuffed, apply a patent shoe polish and rub her till she shines.
To stay shiny and keep the party flowing on your feet we recommend that you clean dust and dirt from your shoes regularly with an ever-so-slightly soft damp cloth. Reviving your Miistas can be done in a few hours of TLC. If only getting over your weekend Negroni hangover headache was as easy.
Not quite suede, not quite leather, nubuck is the perfect balance. The soft, plush leather allows you to walk in luxury wherever you go. To protect you and your shoes from the elements we recommend that you spray a water repellent stain protector to keep you dry and your shoes looking radiant.
Brave the suede! These few words of wisdom will allow you to strut out in your suede shoes with little fear of damage. Water repellent shoe protector for suede is nearly as necessary as a coffee on a Monday morning. By using this nifty spray you will be able to wear your shoes, rain or shine. But don’t fear, if you're caught out without protection in the rain remove the shoe quickly and support with a shoe tree or balled up newspaper. Brush water on the rest of the shoe and blot away excess, allow the shoe to dry then brush to restore her suede finish.
What was once used for your geography teacher’s go-to trousers is now being used on some of the best shoes in town! Although velvet-like in appearance your corduroy Miistas are both strong and durable. With her ribs and ridges, these Miistas are always in need of a soft bristle brush to avoid dust or dirt build-up. Should you notice any staining then warm water and a soft toothbrush is all you need to restore your shoes velvety waves.
Think of your embroidered Miistas as that gorgeous white outfit that you really don’t want to drink red wine in. For maximum protection spray with stain protector and avoid taking her out on rainy days or up muddy hills - it’s just not a good idea! Don’t fear if she gets a little dirty, a bit of water and light brushing with a soft short haired brush should take care of it.
Hard wearing and firm, your denim Miistas are the perfect go-to option day or night. Restore your shoes durability and get rid of any marks by using lukewarm water and a soft toothbrush to get your boots looking just as good as your mum’s everlasting vintage jeans. Don’t use any abrasive detergents and allow them to naturally air dry as high temperatures will break down the fibres and shorten their lifespan.
As much as you shouldn’t wear your walking boots to a wedding, you definitely shouldn’t wear your fur Miistas to a weekend hiking trip! But if you do end up with a buildup of dirt or grit in between your fur then gently use a slicker brush to dislodge it. Gently use your fingers to fluff up the fur. If you are not using them, then you should definitely re-package them back in their original box, this will prevent added dust falling on your beautiful fur.
Fishnet tights, netted bags and now netted shoes. Miistas use of brightly coloured netting is bound to leave you reminiscing about hot summer beach days. This handcrafted net is to be handled with care to maintain her delicate organic look. Cleaning net can get your fingers a little tangled. To clean them damp a cloth and gently squeeze the net until it absorbs enough water to gently wipe the dirt off.
You’ve finally received your pony hair Miistas and they’re beautiful right? I’m sure the last thing you want is to discover that your beautiful shoes have gone bald... yes shoes can go bald! Protect this from happening straight away apply a light coat of protective spray. For stains, avoid using water, wait for the stain to dry and lightly brush it out in the direction of the fur with a slicker brush and squirt of conditioner if necessary.
Made from the interlacing of raffia fibres found on the tropical trees of Madagascar, your raffia Miistas are made to go through the ups and downs, ins and outs of your daily life. But just as you need a holiday once in a while, so do your raffias! Think sun, sand and sea, and show your raffia Miistas some love by using a soft dry cloth to wipe any signs of daily wear away, but try your hardest to not get your raffia shoes wet!
The only way to describe these luxurious Miistas is soft, sumptuous and sophisticated… basically the queen of textile shoes! Before wearing, apply some waterproof spray to protect her regal texture and to keep her looking her finest, remove any stains by dabbing with a damp cloth and dry with a hand towel to avoid water marks. We also advise the use of pop socks for extra comfort.
Soft and smooth in texture, your velvet Miistas are both beautiful and vulnerable. Shield her with stain protector and remove any blemishes using lukewarm water, the tiniest squirt of soap if necessary and a soft toothbrush. Once you are done with this, remove any excess water with a cloth and leave to dry - this will keep her velvet pile plush!
Soles & Heels
Class and elegance have been brought to Miistas through her leather sole. Like your own skin, the leather sole will have the ability to mould and shape itself to your feet. But also like your own skin, the shoe needs care and love, you would not walk across gravel barefoot without expecting to see some damage on your own feet. The original Italian leather Miista sole is a work of art so please wear on soft terrain or if you would like to protect the original Miista leather sole, resole your shoe at cobblers so your shoes can take on the world with you. We recommend to resole after 5-7 wears with rubber.
Simplicity is a necessary part of life. Your Miista rubber or synthetic sole is able to endure the elements with no preparation. Some general TLC is needed if (like us) you love to wear your Miista’s every day. Keeping the sole clean and if any damages like cracking or intense wear, simply take the shoes to a cobbler to be resolved and she will be up and running in no time.
Heel toe, heel toe is how you walk in your Miistas to take on the day. To keep your Miista marching in peak condition, we recommend that you replace the plastic heel at your local cobbler once it has worn through to prevent any damage to the shoe.
Our Miista’s crepe sole will add the spring in your step. The natural crepe will comfortably support your foot allowing you to walk out with ease. We ask you to care for her by cleaning her regularly with a soft shoe brush or water and a soft damp cloth to stop any dirt building up.
Our Miistas are here to uplift you. Her heels are wrapped in the most luxurious fabrics and leathers you can feel elevated in the finest material. If you, unfortunately, tear any of the heel materials we recommend that you act fast by simply glueing the nicked leather or fabric back down with leather glue or super glue. But if you do not feel comfortable doing this yourself we strongly advise that you take it to your cobblers who will be able to do it for you instead. If there is any light wear or tear, please follow the recommended advice for the specific material on the ‘Care for Miista’s skin.’
Whether you are striding through the streets of a European city or you are promenading lazily through a vintage market in L.A, our wooden heel will be there throughout your travels. If you scuff your wooden heel, use a household rubber to remove marks. If marks remain use water and a soft sponge, but do not rub too hard otherwise the wood polish may be damaged. Also, your Miista’s are not designed to remain pristine for their whole lifetime, they are designed to age gracefully and add to their character. Consider these marks and wears as a souvenir of a your adventures and travels.
Woven jute is a classic, light and airy material that will keep your feet cool in the hot summer days. To keep your Miistas looking as fresh as mint in an evening cocktail regularly clean the sole preventing build up of dust or dirt. Moreover, be aware that the jute is made from a grass which means if it gets wet it will lessen the life of your Miistas and take several days to dry as this absorbs water very easily. If you wish to clean with water we advise you do it sparingly and allow it to dry completely before your next wear.
