A London Brand, Made in Spain, EU Sourced Only
As a team, internally we’ve spoken about sustainability a lot. And as anyone who follows our work might know, we don’t feel right in claiming to be a sustainable company. The belief we hold is that fashion is not an industry that can become completely sustainable, but that we are in an exciting position where we can subvert how we’ve been working to create lasting change in our pocket of the industry.
We believe that it’s very hard to be a sustainable business operating within the fashion industry today. The fashion industry is responsible for 10 percent of global carbon dioxide emissions every year. In order to run our business we need to operate in a capacity that is not yet sustainable. However, we are working towards a more ethical way of doing this and are investing in research to lower our carbon footprint as a business.
But we very much believe in The Circular Economy and we know this is an area where we can become far more ethical. The Circular Economy is an economic model based on reducing physical waste and the re-use of resources. It is a simple principle with the power to drastically change the way the fashion industry operates.
That’s why in 2020 we invested in our own production factory in A Coruña in the North of Spain on the Atlantic coast. We set up this factory to have control over who makes what within our business in a more honest way. Our aim is to significantly reduce our supply chain and stay in control of our daily wastage as we make the exciting move into ready-to-wear.
Across the fashion industry, 12 percent of materials made during the garment production process are left on the factory floor, and 25 percent of garments are never sold. Producing everything under the roof of our own factory, we’re aiming for zero material wastage on the factory floor by 2022 and will launch our first ever free repair service for shoes, accessories and apparel. We are also training up all our staff and making every effort possible to employ local women and men.
Where's It Been
We believe that our customers and the public have a right to know where and how their garments, shoes and accessories are produced. Here, you can find supply chain information for garments, footwear and bags, and the labour network of your product, from head designer to seamstress.
We believe we must be transparent over our structure, our supply networks and actions we are taking to both meet and excel global standards.
